Lyra Jano, a compassionate nurse from The Philippines, dedicated to aiding individuals with learning disabilities globally, had a remarkable journey before settling in Canada. Her two-year stint in England preceded her relocation to Richmond Hills in 2013, where her mission of caring for others persisted. Validation of her studies in Canada was costly, prompting her to wait for her Permanent Residency. In 2021, she embraced a job in Kingston, achieving her Registered Nurse license after many years of dedication. Despite initial sadness leaving her community, a decade in Canada they sculpted her into an independent person and a fully registered nurse. Now, aiming for a master's degree, she dreams of leading in nursing. Her journey epitomizes resilience and a commitment to making a difference.
