Joanna Duarte made a big decision in 2019 to move her family from Brazil to Canada in search of a better life. With a background in engineering and experience in the oil industry, she currently works as a Financial Service Associate at CIBC. Along with her husband, Joanna felt that their country wasn't the best place to raise their two young daughters. After conducting extensive research, they discovered that Canada was an ideal location to live. They narrowed down their search to places that offered safety, good schools, hospitals, and universities, which led them to Kingston. They ultimately chose Kingston as their new home, keeping the well-being of their children in mind. After living here for four years, they feel safe and happy to call it home!
