Kevin, a Taiwanese immigrant to Canada since 2017, embarked on a journey of academic and professional growth. Despite initial hurdles in his field of Geography and GIS, he’s climbing the ranks in a land-serving company. Striving for a Permanent Residency, he reflects on the immigration challenges. Raised in the Philippines, Kevin's international upbringing shaped his outlook. Drawn by the lakeside lifestyle at Queens University, his passion for water sports mirrors his lifelong connection to aquatic environments. Amidst the pandemic, Kevin found solace in Taiwan, where he also found love. Returning to Canada, he cherishes the peaceful environment, a contrast to tensions in Taiwan and China.
