Judit Luengo-Martinelli’s life is a story of resilience and reinvention. Born in Venezuela, she lived in England and Germany, sparking her passion for foreign trade. In 1974, she returned home to help care for her ailing mother, a period that shaped her future. Meeting Argo, a like-minded engineer, led to a lifelong partnership. In 1989, they moved to Canada for their daughter’s safety. Facing the challenge of gaining “Canadian experience,” Judit proved herself and built a successful career in international trade.
Later, she found her true calling in Kingston by teaching Spanish at St. Lawrence College, Queen’s University, and the Royal Military College, inspiring students for nearly 30 years. Retiring in 2021, she now embraces new passions, embodying the spirit of a young soul and reflecting on a life shaped by
adaptation, resilience, and connection.
