José Gregorio Hernández (1864-1919) was a renowned Venezuelan physician, professor, and philanthropist, who, in addition to bringing advances to the medicine of that time in Venezuela, dedicated his life to his Christian faith and religious vocation. Since his death, countless miracles have been attributed to him. In 2020, a year when health is a global concern his beatification is finally achieved. My bright and colourful painting is a prayer to honour our Venezuelan saint “Jose Gregorio.”
