The representation of Jesus' heart as a symbol of his love for humanity is not found in the Bible, but in the works of certain medieval mystics. The practice was encouraged by Carthusian and Jesuit priests and promoted by St. Francis de Sales. In the midst of the current global violence, wars, and natural disasters, I aim to create my own interpretation of the Heart of Jesus to offer a fresh perspective to the faithful who hold this image dear.
