Have you ever experienced those moments when you are trying to remember something, but your brain seems to freeze, and you feel disoriented for a few seconds? It can be scary, especially if dementia runs in your family, like in my case, where it has affected both my paternal and maternal sides. That momentary lapse in memory can be terrifying, and the fear of dementia is always present.
In this painting titled "Here I am," I attempt to capture that instant when we get lost for a few seconds to serve as a reminder that it's okay to experience such moments without anxiety. Mental health is crucial, and one way to take care of it is by opening up and talking about it.
